Tom Sharplin started his singing Career in Tauranga, moving to Auckland in 1967.
His first hit was a cover of “Love Is A Beautiful Song” (it really wasn’t the thing to record original songs in those days as you couldn’t get airplay). This song was a big hit and enabled Tom to get into the music industry.
Over the years Tom took up rock & Roll and had a number of songs in the top 20 over the years. With Jody Vaughan he recorded “Hey Paula” winning the top country duet award in 1985.
One of New Zealand’s most durable and popular artists.
